Wind can be a factor later in the afternoon. For the beginning golfer: The short 9 hole course offers a place to practice your swings. You have to pay attention to your surroundings and where others are because the holes are fairly close together. An errant shot can hit another person on another fairway if people aren't looking out for one another. But most of the time, you'll be practicing your pitching and chipping shots. Once you've gotten confident to play 9 holes, both 18 hole courses are good places to start for the longer distances. The courses are flat and if you can drive at least 150 yds., you should have no problems getting through each hole. Even if your distances are less than 150 yds., keeping the ball on the fairway is all you need to think about to make it through the 18 holes. A few holes may have water coming into play, but you don't need a lot of distance to avoid the hazard.;
