Other comments: The course is within the limits of Tilden Park in the Berkeley hills. It's a winding climb through the hills to get here but you'll find a beautiful course surrounded by trees and wildlife. On any given day, San Francisco Bay could be brisk and breezy but because of its secluded, protected area, this course can be warm and calm. For the beginning golfer: This is a difficult course because of its hilly terrain, different lies, and hazards in play. But the 5:30 Wednesday women's club (Tilden Golfbags) supports and encourages the beginner throughout every aspect of the game. The club welcomes and wants more women to join. No club membership fees, no handicap necessary. Just come out and play and have fun!
