Other comments: Before being declared a National park and opened to the public in 1995, this course was the privilege of the elite of the U.S. armed forces. A challenging course with narrow fairways lined by trees. You must stay on the fairways to stay out of trouble and beware of the bunkers surrounding every green.
For the beginning golfer:  Once you've got some distance to your swings and can get fairly accurate as to where you want to place the ball, then you'll want to try this course.  Otherwise, it will be quite a challenge to get through the 18 holes.  It's a pretty course and should be on your list as one to try as you get better at the game.

Other comments: This 9 hole course is played as 18 when you pick one set of tees for the front 9 and a second set of tees for the back 9. This course is very challenging because of the topography...it's slanted. You will be tested on how you handle the uneven lies of the ball.
